The top reason wealth managers are exploring an acquisition is to accelerate the growth of their firm (72%), followed by the ability to add new talent (38%). As expected over 40% of respondents participated in a deal in 2022. The leading transactions were both acquisitions and tuck-in at 13%. Whether they considered a transaction or not one third of participants were approached by a buyer in 2022.
